Analysis 2 (Are We a team?)
Summary
The medium-sized technological company has a talented team of employees whose performance does not reflect its potential. After conducting severally interviews, the newly appointed CIO unmasks several managerial issues. Employees in the company operate as individuals rather than members of a team. For instance, one employee solved a technical problem in one department but did not share that information with another department that was facing the same problem. As CIO, it seems he was scared of the massive talent that the employees possessed. As a result, he agreed with everything they said and allowed them to conduct operations in whatever manner they deemed fit.

2. How do you think that the team evolved to this low level of cooperation and cohesiveness?
The leadership of former CIO is to be blamed for the low level of cohesiveness displayed by the team. Poor leaders are characterized by their lack of ability to provide direction to their teams, which stem from their own lack of vision (Deanne, 2013). Bob did not have clear goals, which resulted to employees not understanding what they had to deliver. The state of agreeing with every employee on all issues limited discussions among employees leading to low cooper...
