Obesity stands as a grave health problem that most Americans suffer from without their knowledge. Statistical evidence affirms that a legion of the American citizenry is suffering from obesity while they disregard it as an overweight issue. There is a deep misunderstanding that most Americans have about obesity and its dreadful impacts. The present world is replete with the production of fast foods that are the main contributory factor to this health concern. The opponents to this problem argue that an overweight issue is not always obesity. However, reality from health gurus articulates that overweight is the most primary symptom that a person is obese. Fast foods are the origin of the aggravating obesity cases among the American citizenry. Lack of doing physical exercises is another factor but among the secondary contributors. In this regard, it is safe to argue that the connection between obesity and fast foods is strong. The continual intake of fast foods in the American citizenry and the world is the primary obesity cause and it needs effective redress to save the present generation and the posterity.

The human population in the entire globe has suffered dreadful effects from the dominance of obesity as a severe health problem. In the United States, it has demonstrated its detriments because it currently accounts at least 10% of the expenditure that the nation uses on health care (Frazier, 2007). The costs associated with lifestyle diseases that cause unhealthy gains in weight are also hefty. A large proportionate of Americans, therefore, suffer from obesity that originates from the continuous intake of products that have high fat levels. On a normal day, an American citizen takes at least a pizza slice that contributes to their cholesterol levels in their body (Frazier, 2007).
