Process Analysis for Why People Cheat Study
The following paper aims to detail the process by which an empirical study was conducted to determine the reasons why people cheat. The primary purpose of the survey was to answer two fundamental questions that are, what characteristics do cheating individuals possess that predispose them to cheat habit? And also, what reasons do the cheating person give to justify their act? To achieve this, a descriptive empirical study was conducted with a sample size of 50 individuals who are aged thirty to fifty. To form a basis for the research, the paper started by giving an introduction and statement of the research problem followed by the questions to be explored. An extensive reading was conducted on previous studies to offer background for the paper. The literature review highlighted that the issue of cheating has been experienced within various societies starting from the medieval time. It gave support to the hypothesis that cheating is indeed a problem that needed attention of researchers to combat and is dealt with appropriately.
