In the eighth grade i was 190 and only 5'5. Currently i am a senior in high school and am 6'1 and 170. Loosing weight was an extremly hard thing in the 8th grade and it took me 6 months, to loose 50 pounds. It taught me that in life no one hands things to you. This helped me grow. Try to make it relate to prompt as much as possible.Also, you can bluff/make fillers and make up certain things, I.e waking up at 5am to go on a run, Eating chicken every meal. etc

Children trust their parents with the provision of basic needs. They grow knowing that their only responsibility is to be young and be taken care of. However, as one grows, it becomes apparent that parents are also limited in what they can do and this forces one to develop a mentality of self-dependence. While still under the care of one’s parents, everything is often handed to the child with little to no effort. Conversely, this wears off as one becomes exposed and aware of the reality that surrounds them. The idea of being given things with little to almost no effort gets completely sidelined.
The phrase “nothing comes easy” never made sense to me when I was a child. However, as I aged, it has not only became real to me, but I have also learned to live by it every day. Initially, I was used to the idea of being given things without sweating or putting in serious work. It made sense at the time because of my fragile nature and the fact that I could not function as other grownups were. However, when I decided to lose weight while in 8th grade, it became apparent that in life, nothing will ever come easy. Comprehending this phrase is in a way a step in growth because one realizes that there is a new reality that is completely different from what one’s childhood illustrated.
