Why We Need A Chinese New Year Holiday for School Author Name University Name Respected Principal, I am writing this letter to you to bring your attention to the fact that we, the students, need the Chinese New Year holiday for school. Unlike other colleges and universities, our institution, unfortunately, doesn’t provide us with this holiday. It looks like neither you nor our teachers are aware of its benefits. I am writing this letter to let you know why it is compulsory and would shape our lives to an extent. First of all, the Chinese New Year is an excellent time for family reunions. Unlike other festivals or occasions, it allows us to get closer to our teachers and parents and spend quality time with them. If we remain in school the whole day, we will get tired and won’t be able to spare time for our family. I’d like to let you know that this tradition is in the transition, and can give us moments of enjoyment and refreshment. Secondly, for the United States, Canada, and different western countries, Christmas and Thanksgiving are the only shopping seasons. The rest of the year, we remain busy with our activities and get too tired. I must admit that the Chinese New Year holiday will provide us with sufficient chances of buying what we like the most.
