One of the prime needs the population of Ocala city has proved to be having is in healthcare, awareness education related to behavioral health, community-level partnerships, diabetes education, and strategies that address obesity. The main goal of this community needs assessment lies in uncovering or substantiating the health issues and health needs in the city's population. It is also aimed at getting a better understanding of contributing factors and causes of potential deficiencies like those in the health as well as mentioned aspects that affect the quality of life of the city’s community.
The increase of common problems such as the rate at which diabetes education can be accessed has also proved to be requiring support being given to community organizations and other stakeholders in the Ocala community. The goal can go a long way towards offering health education as well as other needed resources. As a result, the Marion County Community Health Assessment needs to be further promoted in the city as a way of continuing the committing to the better conceptualization of the health needs and health status the community has (AdventHealth Ocala, 2019).

Ethnicities included 81.9% White, 12.6% African-American, and 11.9% Hispanic. Around 2.7% of the population had been housed in the group quarters. The group quarters were inclusive of nursing homes and correctional institutions. The urban area was home to 69% of the population of Marion County.
