In his article titled “Public Housing Demolition and the Benefits to Low-Income Families,” Edward G. Goetz states that urban housing markets in the United States exhibit various challenges of provincial governments, federal and affordability, and this emphasizes on boycotting public housing projects. In 1993, Atlanta Housing Authority discouraged people from depending on public housing projects. Similarly, Edward believes that the people relying on public housing projects are not given their full rights and basic facilities of life, and are not allowed to sell those houses without the written permission of owners.
Previously, a large number of public housing projects were launched such as John Hope Homes, McDaniel-Glenn Homes, Grady Homes, Harris Homes, East Lake Meadows, Eagan Homes, Carver Homes and Capitol Homes. Unfortunately, these projects could not benefit the low-income people. In 1999, some high-rise complexes were also constructed in Atlanta and New York with a seemingly good aim of giving facilities to the poor. But these complexes were more like warehouses than family apartments, so people didn’t accept them as their homes.
Even when you are poor, it is possible for you to earn something to build your own home in the United States, where fundamental facilities and luxuries are available to your family.
