Reaction to a TED talk by Simon Sinek
A TED talk by Simon Sinek caught the attention of scholars and business people alike as he sought to explain how great leaders inspire action of the substance. In his speech, he sought to explain why some phenomena succeeded despite the odds being stacked against them, like Apple Corporation, Martin Luther King's relation to the civil rights movement and the success of the Wright Brothers as aviation pioneers. Sinek (2010) insisted that within the mentioned successful parties, there was something else at play rather than just selling ideas and products to the population and industry leaders. Research and subsequent findings support that there indeed is a pattern. This is embodied by Steve Jobs and the success of the Apple franchise despite stiff competition from competent rivals.
