Synthesis is the act of creating something new from multiple existing entities. Synthesis of research, then, is creating a new idea from existing ideas. It is a process developed through time and practice. In this assignment, you will apply the synthesis process to the course journal readings and your selected readings. As you synthesize, consider how leadership style influences leadership practice and results. For example, leadership style effects followers through the choice of public vs. private engagement or the use of public praise vs. active coaching. In some cases, what a leader does not say or do can have a significant effect on both the sense of value and the motivation of group members.
General Requirements:
Use the following information to ensure successful completion of the assignment:
Refer to the annotated bibliography and outline you created in the Module 2 assignment along with the assignment feedback from your instructor.
Locate at least two additional, topically-related, empirical articles. Use "Empirical Research Checklist" to guide your selection.
This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.
Doctoral learners are required to use APA style for their writing assignments. The APA Style Guide is located in the Student Success Center.

Locate the annotated bibliography and outline you created in the Module 2 assignment. Using the outline you developed, the information from the annotated bibliography, and the feedback provided by your instructor, write a paper (2,000-2,250 words) that synthesizes three of the articles assigned in the first two modules of this course with the two (or more) topically-related, empirical articles you selected. Do that by including the following:
A statement of at least three common themes addressed in all of the articles.
A statement of the conclusions that can be drawn when the articles are taken together as a single entity. What is the overall message of the group of articles? Focus specifically on the connection between leadership style and leadership theory in areas such as individual identity, culture, and worldview. What are the potential effects of these and other individual leadership characteristics and style; how do they influence the methods leaders choose to guide groups or organizations?

The success of an organization is highly depended on the leaders. Employees require a conducive work environment for them to be able to achieve organizational goals. Such an environment is best created by the leaders through the use of the best leadership style and the application of various leadership traits. As well, the success of an organization is highly determined by the type of leadership styles and traits used to lead the people. Leadership plays a substantial role in the private vs. public engagement and the public praise vs. the active coaching. The kind of leadership style used impacts the private sector because employee engagement means that they have a better connection with their job believe in the organizational values and therefore, they end up adding more effort to deliver more than what the organization requires of them. In addition, the public sector ends up benefiting through great customer service, innovation, better products, and employee attendance. An organization requires the public for it to become successful, and hence, the leadership style used has a great impact on the public and private engagement. As well, leadership also determines the outcome of public praise and active coaching with an organization. Therefore, this paper will focus on the themes of charisma, good decision maker, and goal setting as part of the traits that aid in the success of an organization.
Charisma is one of the traits that have enhanced the process of employee engagement since a charismatic leader is able to influence the followers into doing something constructive. A study was conducted to determine whether individuals could be taught how to express a charismatic behavior or not. It was also made to determine whether the various changes in charisma had an impact on the outcomes of a particular leader. Results of the study indicated that teaching individuals on how to behave charismatically had a huge change in the outcomes of their leadership ratings (Cavazotte, Moreno & Hickmann, 2012). Leaders who acted charismatically were able to lead their employees effectively hence, resulting to the ease in the achievement of the organizational goals. Acting charismatically enables a leader to be an inspiration to the rest of the employees. Therefore, charisma is an important trait to all transformational leaders because they deserve to be an inspiration to the people that they lead. It is such inspiration that motivates the employees into working towards positive organizational outcomes. Managers that had not been taught how to act charismatically did not express positive organizational outcomes because they did not inspire the rest of the employees towards the achievement of organizational obligations. An individual's identity in regard to their leadership abilities is determined by the leadership styles and traits that they use in leading other people. There are great leaders whose leadership styles remain in history and is still being applied in today's world. This is an indication that they were able to create an identity through their leadership hence making it easy for people to remember them down in history. The charismatic trait is best applied in a democratic type of leadership whereby the employees do not need much encouragement to show their engagement with the job. The charismatic nature of the leader is enough to result in job satisfaction and increment in the profits made.
As well, the decision-making process is one of the key aspects of mobilizing employees into achieving organizational goals.
