Like most of the teenagers, Eve is caught up in a circle where she is constantly trying to keep up with all the activities that she has planned on a daily basis. She is relentlessly making up for the little time she has to complete her classwork. This means that, in some of the instances she does not get enough sleep as she tries to make up time during the night to complete her coursework (Touma & Pannain, 2011). However, this is a detrimental and can lead to health implications. Lack of sleep can affect Eve and result to development of diabetes. This is a serious concern and that could affect her for the rest of her life. It’s notable that regulating how much sugar is in the blood stream is crucial for a healthy life and more importantly productive one. Sleep is a restorative process where the body is able to regulate the amount of glucose that is in the blood. However, considering that Eve does not have proper sleep patterns, her body is not effectively regulating blood glucose as expected (Touma & Pannain, 2011). As such, there are chances that her body will accumulate high blood sugar that is likely to lead to diabetes type 2 (Touma & Pannain, 2011). Therefore, it is important that she should thrive to reduce some of the workload and find time to sleep as to reduce her chances of developing diabetes.
In the case of Eve, she is constantly working on her assignment and trying to juggle more than one thing at any given time. Ironically, one of the major characteristics of working on more than one thing at a time is feeling overwhelmed. This is associated with the element of anxiety.
