Most college attendees believe that attending college education is a major factor in ensuring success in life. However, with the advancement in technology where almost everything is digital, is this notion of a college education as a source of success so much crucial? As a college sophomore, attending a college sometimes becomes stressful especially when combining academic activities with other extracurricular activities, stresses involved especially school life, fees, peer influences among others. However, knowledge obtained from a college education is a necessity amidst the ever transforming technology even though some people do better in life without a college education. These two opposing views though gives valid points of arguments, it is undoubted that college education is essential for the acquirement of skills for future success.
The current development in different societies is enhanced through a college education. Most countries are underdeveloped due to low education hence they face deep depression. For example, in the USA, most jobs flounder since most people who get such jobs have the college degrees. To enhance improved education in the USA, Pat Brown ensured that colleges expand to University especially in California in 1966 so that more people of different social class attend the college and even higher education. Pat Brown did such with an aim of ensuring an improved society and ensures that the nation develops and attracts more innovative minds. On a separate note, college degrees ensure that employees get better pay. Colleges also benefit other students who are sponsored due to their talents. Such students are able to further their education through sports and develop such talents to the professional level. These athletes are able to attend colleges freely and in future, such students will be able to pay back the college through grants and scholarships.
A college education offers numerous opportunities for an experience beyond the classroom walls. Colleges have a better environment for critical thinking skills, intuition and enable students to have better reasoning abilities hence they are able to form team work among others. On the same note, the environment in colleges offers an opportunity for the students to meet their mentors that help them move successfully in their college lives. These mentors give them courage and enable them to have passion as well as advise them on relevant careers. In most cases, students choose wrong careers due to wrong advice and from peers who are not mentors hence some of them find difficulties in life.
College education enables a person to become stable and independent. The current world requires that each and every person becomes independent and seek employment or become entrepreneurs hence enhance their own development. Furthermore, these people are normally skilled and talented. Thus, their innovative talent can be nurtured in education to enable them to improve their skills and become managers of their own enterprises.
