Change management is an important part of the organizational management and one that directly influences how successfully an organization can navigate through the uncertainties associated with change (Fielding, 2005). However, if poorly managed, an organization can easily fall prey to poor communication, message distortion, and medium interruptions which stand to compromise the effective delivery of messages.
As a means of minimizing message distortions or disruptions, it is imperative to establish effective closed systems of communication that are hinged on the use of email and face-to-face communication (Fielding, 2005). Through these two methods, the usual environmental barriers that accompany communication such as time, noise, and space can be avoided. This works a great deal towards ensuring that communication is not only clear, but also timely and not susceptible to distortions and disruptions (Gutierez, 2017). The use of face-to-face conversations when personal or sensitive issues are involved works well to ensure that the sender can be clear in delivering their message while the receiver can get the sent message without it being distorted or disrupted through mediums or other third-party individuals in the communication chain.
At the same time, it is imperative to also note that communication is usually in an official or personal capacity, and as such measures and protocols need to be developed in line with this (Gutierez, 2017). Consequently, the use of offices at all times when communicating important information works well to ensure that professionalism is maintained even in the event that the message being communicated is personal (Fielding, 2005).
