Reflection
The world has had numerous historical events that have shaped the generations, over time the changes bring new ideas and things that in return impact on the generation. For instance, the era of industrialization and slave trade greatly affected the present generations. Civilization that happened in early decades of the 20th century was mainly fostered by the Europeans also known the western civilization. This has also been seen in the current generation and was transferred to other continents such as Africa (the Dark Continent).
In his interview “Aimé Césaire,” he describes why he wrote his book “Return to My Native land” to give an account of the tribulation of alienation in a foreign land. He narrates his life living as a Negro in the Antilles. He explains how surrealism was instrumental in his quest to end the tribulations against the Negro race. Surrealism was the ignition towards liberating the people through appealing to the conscious minds in rebelling against oppression and reclaim the heritage of the Africans in those lands.
