When used for project scheduling in a human resource management project, in my opinion, a Gantt Chart would be of significant value in the following ways. First, it would help in planning the tasks that have to be done. Secondly, it gives a basis for scheduling when those planned tasks would be carried out. Thirdly, it allows one to plan for the allocation of resources that are required to complete the project. When the project is in progress, it would help in monitoring whether the project is on schedule or not. Another type of scheduling technique is critical path method (CPM) (Collier & Evans, 2009).
