One of the greatest characters that I came across while reading the book was Prometheus. Prometheus is the brother of Epimetheus and whose name means after thought and he is given the task of creating humans and as such he grants all the animal kingdom all that they have been yearning for until as observed there seems like there is nothing left for man. As we see Prometheus also comes up with his own way of making sure that mankind is superior to the rest of the animals. He begins by giving then an upright shape and ten travels to the sun. When he travels to the sun, Prometheus lights a torch and fire is brought to the earth. Zeus does not feel good about the great opportunities that Prometheus has given to the man and as such he looks for ways of punishing him. He decides to tie Prometheus to a rock and goes ahead to create a woman named Pandora whom she sends to earth with a box of gifts and when she opens them she realizes it was a box of gifts containing sorrow and misfortunes. While tied to the rock, Prometheus observes a cow that speaks like a girl. They talk with the girl and the girl narrates that Zeus had fallen in love with her but due to jealous she was turned into a monster CITATION Pau171 \l 1033 (Paul, 2017).
Through the above incidences, Prometheus presents himself as a hero with great strength. Even though we see that Zeus punishes the people who got him to get to power, Prometheus appears unmoved as he does not yield to the threats that are given CITATION Jam09 \l 1033 (James, 2009).
