Introduction
The Human Resource Department is concerned with many roles that range from strategic planning of any institution to the day to day processes of the institution. The human resource functions are stipulated in a policy manual by the executive board, under the supervision of director of the institution or organization (Al-bahussin & El-garaihy, 2013).
Functions
First, the Human Resource has the role of guiding employee actions as it also governs their rights. The policy manual developed by the Human Resource contains policies that are imperative in creating a favorable working environment for the employees to exploit their skills in conformance to the organization’s objectives (Pay Scale, 2010). The Human resource therefore has a responsibility of providing an opportunity to the employees to develop their careers and a chance to share their personal and professional problems.
Another function is that Human Resource enhances discipline and devotion as it also encourages group dynamics and team spirit in the place of work.
