I am looking forward to becoming a part of the University of Oregon, it was with great interest that I looked into the university’s values, especially those relating to diversity. I took pleasure in discovering as to how my interests and experiences align with an inclusive environment where I am going to be placed.
Since my childhood, I had a revolt boiling inside me against the social norms that drew lines based on the differences relating to religions, castes, creeds, or any other form of ethnic association. At an early stage of my life where people are like melted wax that can easily be forged to fit any mold, I had a strong sense of identity and purpose (Bower & Casas, 2015).
