1. Good usage is the use of the right words that already exist in a language to express oneself and other people clearly (Zinsser, 2006).
2. Examples of good usage include giving someone input and getting feedback on the issued idea (Zinsser, 2006).
3. Good English uses specific words to describe something or an event clearly (Zinsser, 2006). In this case, although users may have a variety of options, they chose to fit the best in the context.
4. A living language is a language that is still used in writing and speaking by people (Zinsser, 2006).
5. Slang is the use of informal style comprised of phrases and words in both speaking and writing, but it most common in speech (Zinsser, 2006). People introduce it into a language as they try to express themselves.
6. Jargon introduces and uses a new word that sounds more important than the existing words, and it comes into usage through borrowing. For instance, the use of prioritizing instead of rank (Zinsser, 2006).
