In the United States, army officers fight for the betterment and prosperity of their nation. The same is the situation of soldiers working in other parts of the world, and the military bearing helps junior and senior army officers know how to cooperate and interact with each other and perform their duties under tight situations. Some of the main elements of the military and professional bearing are respect, courage, bravery, punctuality, loyalty, pride, reliability, consistency and others. Without these elements, it is not possible for an officer or soldier to perform his duties in a better way (Wilson, 2003).
The bearings dictate professionalism, worth, and value, and with them in mind, it will be easy for the trainee to learn how to face challenges and work under pressure. According to Donald B. Connelly, an army or military officer is responsible for receiving training before he joins the team, and during this training session, he undertakes a variety of tasks, some of which are difficult whereas the others are relatively easy. In either way, without the bearing, it may be difficult for them to move on and to give their best (Connelly, 2010).
The military officer or professional bearing has to rescue missions, defend the borders, and do other sorts of jobs. Everything he does involves risks and accompanies a lot of problems. The officers are taught to work under uncertain situations as they are to protect the whole country from outside attacks. During or after the training, if they miss professional bearings somewhere, it will become impossible for them to complete their tasks on time (Wilson, 2003).
