The Letter from Birmingham by Martin Luther King talks about the claims made when he was arrested by eight clergymen. Based on his lengthy and detailed responses, a compelling point of view was made. The letter was delivered to an audience that consisted of white citizens from the middle class. King’s letter is persuasive because of the way he used pathos, which gave the audience something to contemplate on, imagining themselves to be in that situation.
