The love of God is what our “spiritual heritage” advocates the most. It is the first thing we hold near and dear. And then comes the next rule: love your neighbor. Do good by your fellow men. By doing that, we believe that it will lead us to a spiritual life. There are many views on this topic: Love God and thy neighbor. These two can never be equal. The essence of the relation to God is considered superior over anything, even if both must be done to lead a spiritual life.
