Some general themes in this topic are interactivity, online engagement, and news value is perceived by the people, specifically online users. The reading delves in how online news has a different impact due to the technological advancements and how it has changed how traditional news was spread among the masses. One major theme in the reading deals with interactivity. It states that interactivity is a “game changer” when it comes to news because people can publicly share their opinion about news in a readily available manner.
