Legitimizing inaction towards genocide in Rwanda: A matter of misperception? The article makes a review of the events and the events that led to the Rwandan Genocide. About 800,000 people died in the genocide. The international community, however, was seen to have been reluctant in its action towards curtailing the war. So many innocent people died in the fight. The extremists who were against the way the government was run were ready to do anything not to have the fight stop.
