Killings by Andre Dubus "Killings" is really a love and murder story; this is because the different event that plays out in the story signifies it. It starts with a story of how a man, Frank, who was really loved. Frank was indeed loved by his parents, Matt and Ruth and his also his girlfriend, Mary-Ann. The death of a loved son is not something many parents can take it lightly and this is what ‘eats’ this family of Fowler. The fact that the guy is out of bail and to make matters worse Ruth sees him around makes her mad with pain. The love of Frank becomes the driving factor here in planning to eliminate Strout.
