John Keats’ poem “On First Looking into Chapman’s Homer” and "Words from Cold Mountain" by Han-Shan, are quite an intrigue to interact with (Poetryintranslation.com, 2017). They give the readers a thrill from the perspectives of the authors. One of the aspects that comes out from reading and analyzing the poems, is the element of travel and the intrigue of the same. Reading the first three of the twenty-seven poems included in the Words from Cold Mountain, the readers are treated to the first accounts of travel that were experienced by Han-Shan and his friend Shi-te (Poetryintranslation.com, 2017). In the poem, Shan states that everyone’s Zen is in their mind. What one experiences in their travel is the same as what others they are with or those that have been there before will experience. In the second stanza from the fifth to the eighth line, Shan states;
