1 Can you please give us a brief information of who you are in HR?
I am a HR global leader, author of several related books among them; Leadership Capital Index, Rise of HR, Leadership Sustainability, HR From the Outside-In, The Why of Work, The Leadership Code and Leadership Brand. I am also a consultant on matters human resources and global business management and leadership. I am the Rensis Likert Professor at Ross School of Business, university of Michigan.
2 What has been your experience on the HR sector?
I have had years of experience helping organizations and leaders to deliver value to their customers across the globe. I have also been quite instrumental in developing award winning databases that assess the alignment between the various strategies, HR practices, Organizational capabilities, investors’ results and HR competencies.
3 Who is the greatest facilitator in achieving the goals of the organization?
The goals of an organization are simply, that, goals on paper. However, it is the human resources managers that have to facilitate the implementation. Ideally it is the human resources bring to fruition the goals.
4 What are some of qualities such people should have?
For a human resource manager it is crucial that they have polished skills in communication, conflict resolution and management, approachable, time managers, self-disciplined, trust worthy and have great presentation skills.
5 Are there some investigative aspects which can be observed in individuals and their intelligence in relation to organizational goal setting?
Yes, when it comes to goals setting, individual have to establish their current situation and where it is they would want to be in a given span of time along with resources that they will require. The ability to evaluate all of these aspects and determine the next course of action is a display of intelligence in itself.
6 Does the curriculum offered in the HR determine the ability of organizations to achieve their goals?
The curriculum is actually the backbone that the staff rely on to some extent to achieve the goals of the firm. If the curriculum is not enabling, regardless of the talent pool in place, the goals will not be achieved optimally.
