The final short essay is a continuation of the Concept Worksheet from Module 3. You will be evaluating the same website that you chose from the worksheet. If something does not make sense, or if you have questions, please feel free to email me.
The focus of the short essay is your evaluation of the online website you chose in Module 3. You will have to prove with evidence and in-text citations that the information within that news source is truthful, accurate and credible. Your entire essay is critiquing that online website and only that website. Two sources of evidence will be required for the essay – one popular source and one scholarly source. You already found these for the concept worksheet. DO NOT include an evaluation of these sources in your essay. You are only using them as evidence to back up your argument/evaluation about the online news website.Provide a bibliography of all three sources at the end of the essay. Your evaluation must be a cohesive essay (introduction, body and conclusion), clearly expressing what the news source is and why it is accurate – or why it is not accurate. Use the evaluation methods and other skills learned throughout the course to write the essay. The essay must be at least a page in length, double-spaced.GRADING
I am looking for the following when reading your essays. If it is not there, points will be deducted.
* An essay that solely focuses on the evaluation of one of the three online news websites listed in the Module 3 from the Concept Worksheet.
* Selection of good, effective sources as your evidence. They should be strong in credibility, with clear authors listed, and speak to the topic directly. (In other words, just do not select the first one you find that might work. The point is to find the best source that make your argument stronger. That is using effective information literacy skills).
* Proper use of APA for in-text citations and the bibliography.
* Inclusion of two quotes that serve as evidence for your argument. They should come from your supporting sources that you find – not the online news website that you are evaluating.
* An essay that consists of a clear introduction, body, and conclusion.
* A bibliography with all three sources.
* An essay that is one full page.
* Proper use of concepts learned throughout the course.

Reynolds (2017) reported on the study focusing on the health impact of sitting down for too long, highlighting that people were at higher risk if they sat for 30 minutes or more without a break. Reynolds has previously written on health, life and wellness articles for the Seattle Times, and the article appeared the previous week in the New York Times. The author, rightly pointed out that the research in the ‘Annals of Internal Medicine’ showed correlation between sitting and the risk of early mortality, even when people started exercising the risk was sti...
