How does John Dewey theories and methods implemented in actual school system? (Insert Name) (Institutional Affiliation) John Dewey theories had a profound influence on the public education. He strongly promoted the radical reform of the early half of the twentieth century of public education system and instrumentalism. He advocated for an educational system that had continuously vocational training and experimentation to enable students to be in a position to solve practical questions. He lectured all over the world and mainly dealt in psychological insights with regard to the capabilities and interests to the individual child. According to him, education is about growth and that schools played an important role in creating a responsive environment that met an individual child’s needs and interests. This allowed a child to flourish (Dykhuizen & Boydston, 1973). Some of his theories and methods can be said to include: Instrumentalism: the relationship between the pragmatic and utilitarian school of thought.
