Essay Instructions:

I create 10 survey questions for my assignment. The purpose of my survey was to assess Immigrants’ Confidence and Ability to Access Their Health Care Information Online (Survey for People 18 Years Old or Older). I distribute my survey to Facebook and obtain responses. For this survey, 36 people responded. So please look at the attached Pdf file and response for the below questions. Help me summarize the result of the survey. I will create a table but you only need to help me writing the narrative based on the 10 survey question result. Thank you. I know this is a kind of confusing assignment for you, so please ask me for clarification if you have any questions.
III. Results (~Two pages)
a. Include a paragraph on your survey sample including the number of people surveyed, and a summary of whatever demographic information you gathered. Your narrative should be accompanied by a table, as is common in peer-reviewed journal articles. Include the range and the averages of demographic variables. For example Eight older adults were surveyed. Their mean age was 72 (range: 65-87). Note that per APA these tables/figures are typically included within the body of your paper, placed in an appropriate location.
b. Summarize the survey results in narrative form and include a table (or tables) of results (histogram, bar chart, table, etc.). The results section should mimic what you commonly see in a peer-reviewed journal article and take into account data visualization principles.

Accessing Health Information among Immigrants
Healthcare access is one of the significant challenges facing immigrants. Such factors that limit their access include language barriers, high illiteracy levels, and lack of awareness on online sources of healthcare. In this regard, this study was conducted to evaluate the population’s access to health care. Ten survey questions were created. The purpose of the survey was to assess immigrants’ confidence and ability to access their health care information online. The population sample involved immigrants aged at least 18 years. An online questionnaire was constructed and shared to the target population through Facebook to obtain responses. For this survey, 36 people responded. A summary of the results of the study is presented below.
Respondents were first required to state the duration they had lived in the U.S.A. The options ranged from less than six months to more than five years. The data showed that no respondent had lived in the US for less than six months. 2 (5.41%) respondents had lived there for between 7 and 12 months, 1 (2.70%) for 2-5 years, and the remaining 34 (91.89%) for more than five years. This shows that the majority of the respondents had been immigrants for over 5 years. The variance was obtained as 0.48, SD=0.69, mean=7.81, maximum=8.0, and minimum=5.00.

Access to healthcare is also influenced by language. Therefore, the survey sought to establish the respondents’ comfort in speaking and writing English. Out of the 36 respondents, 14 (38.89%) were extremely comfortable, 18 (50%) were somewhat comfortable, 0 (0%) were not sure, 4 (11.11%) were somewhat uncomfortable, and none (0%) was extremely uncomfortable. It was also shown that minimum=1.00, maximum=8.00, mean=2.28, SD=2.08, variance=4.31, and count=36This shows that 32 (88.89%) of the immigrants are conversant with written and oral English, and so the language barrier is not one of the factors affecting their access to health care services.

The age range of the respondents was also explored. Age brackets were categorized as 18-25 years, 26-35 years, 36-50 years, 51-65 years, and older than 65. The corresponding number of respondents was 0 (0.00%), 18 (50.00%), 17 (47.22%), 1 (2.78%), and 0 (0.00%), respectively. This showed that the majority,35 (97.22%) of the respondents, were aged between 25 and 50 years. Further, minimum=37.00, maximum=39.00, mean=37.53, SD=0.55, and variance=0.30, implying the immigrant population is relatives middle-aged. This data was used to rule out such factors as mobility issues as potential barriers to accessing online healthcare services.

The highest level of education among the respondents was surveyed, with available responses being high school diploma/GED, 2-year college degree, bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, doctoral degree, and other. Findings culminated to 8 (22.22%), 12 (33.33%), 13 (36.11%), 0 (0.00%), 1 (2.78%), and 2 (5.56%), respectively. Literacy levels influence awareness on online healthcare servic...
