Although no one has precisely known who designed the first stripes and stars in United States of America flag or even the person who made it. The historians have argued that they might have being designed by Francis Hopkinson while others believed that Betsy Ross who was a Philadelphian seamstress might have made the first flag. Despite of the uncertainty of origin of United States of America symbols of stars and stripes usflag.org (2005) has documented that in June 14 1777 there was an order which was established for the existing official flag which was passed by continental congress. The congress resolved that the flag should have thirteen stripes which were alternating white and red they also agreed to have thirteen stars which are white in the blue fields ...
