Imagine that you are Bradley’s supervisor or faculty liaison explaining to him the grounds for his termination. What specific grounds for termination would you cite?
In this case, it is apparent that Bradley breached the policy that he signed when he was given the internship opportunity. He led the other students to a restaurant where he took alcohol; it was against the policy to bring or use alcohol in a function that was sponsored by the Student Services. He also failed to encourage the students to respect the laws regarding the legal drinking age. Although he had reached this age, the students had not, and so the policy required that he should encourage and support them to respect such laws. On the contrary, he took them to a restaurant where alcohol was sold and he started drinking. Further, it was against the policy to involve alcohol in this event.
