Introduction
In the current political climate, partisanship has continued to divide Americans in terms of their political attitudes and views about the challenges facing the nation and current issues based on race and ethnicity (The Pew Research Center, 2019). Politics in the United States has today weakened American greatness by confusing patriotism with racial rivalries, which has promoted hatred resentment, division, resentment, and rivalry in all parts of America. This comes when the public hides behind the chambers instead of tearing them down every time they doubt the power of their opinions. This has greatly affected American societies which makes the United States feel less united, which has been fractured by the politicians and ideological lines. The paper aims to answer the question about what is happening in American politics and how politics is used to divided Americans based on race and ethnicity.
The United States politics has been identified as the main reason why Americans are more divided than during civil war when politics were not for everyone.
