The researchers sought to determine whether there was connection between patient satisfaction and patient volume the relationship was evaluated for Teaching and Nonteaching Health institutions and combined sample (Messina et al., 2009). Subsequently, there was significant negative relation between patient satisfaction and admission using the combined sample (Messina et al., 2009). Further analysis indicated differences between the two independent groups of hospitals. The authors also analyzed the data to determine whether there was deviation from normality the two groups of health institutions. The mean patient satisfaction score for the two different group of hospitals were recorded the variation, skewness and was consistent with normality distribution.
The study indicated statistically significant positive relationship between patient satisfaction and inpatient admission volume across the teaching health institutions and the relationship was nonsignificant and negative in non-teaching health institutions (Messina et al., 2009). The study
