Role of the Media during the Corona Virus Disease Pandemic
On December 31, 2019, the World Health Organization reported cases of an unknown pneumonia kind of disease in the city of Wuhan, China. The virus infection has later been referred to as the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). The condition is a virus that has symptoms ranging from the common cold and, in some cases, turns to be a severe disease of the breathing system (WHO, 2020). Creating awareness about the regulations that people should follow is one of the workable mechanisms that may come in handy in flattening the curve. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, media has played a significant role in ensuring that everyone is brought to the attention of what COVID-19 is since its first reported case, origin, and levels of impact from one region to the other.
