Overview: For this journal task, you will conduct a self-reflection of your current strengths and skill gaps related to the behavioral competencies within the leadership domain. You will also suggest ways to improve upon your weaknesses. This activity will help you practice the use of behavioral competencies that you will need to complete your final project. Journals in this course are private between each student and the instructor. Reviewing the body of competency and knowledge has enabled me to identify my key areas of strength within the leadership domain. After the review, I realized that the Ethical Practice cluster is my area of strength because I have the necessary knowledge and skills to act in a way that promotes accountability, core values, and integrity. I regard my score high in both personal and professional integrity because I would never want to serve with a tainted image. I highly uphold personal and professional integrity because I believe in personal branding that can support me in my future endeavors. Maintaining a high standard of honesty can help me interact with leaders and professionals who can help me to grow professionally.
Under the ethical practice cluster, I noticed that I am highly accountable for my actions. In case I make a mistake, I am always quick to realize and strive to correct it with speed.
