The Great Gatsby
The first time Nick sees Gatsby, he describes him as standing with his hand in his pockets. This time Nick is sitting outside his one-story house having dinner with his friends. On the other end is a man standing outside a mansion and Nick thinks its Mr Gatsby. Nick thinks of calling Gatsby, but he decides not to after Gatsby stretches his arms together in a curious manner to reach the water. Nick resolves not to call Gatsby because he presumes that Gatsby is satisfied to be alone. As Gatsby stretches out his arms, Nick notices that Gatsby is shivering and as he turned to face the direction Gatsby is facing, he sees a green light. As Nick looks back in the place where Gatsby was standing, he finds out that he has disappeared.
There are several rumours about Jay Gatsby. There are rumours spread by young ladies claiming that Gatsby sells illegal goods (bootlegger).
