It’s good to understand that children have different reading interests and preferences. These interests also vary from one child to the other depending with the child up bring as well as the child gender. As discussed in this paper, boy child is interested much with literature that speaks more about adventure as well as science whereas a girl child is interested by literature involving relationships, historical fiction and teenage problems.
Consequently, the child’s interest and preference is also driven and highly motivated by the social media. For example, if a child notices a certain book or story is being discussed a lot in the social media the child will look for the literature and read it to ascertain the truth about the book as discussed in the social media.
