Understanding the relationship between two events and circumstances in the society is important for anyone. It allows him to be able to analyze the different changes that are happening in the society as well as determine the underlying factors that cause it. In this paper, the author would focus on the different changes between gender roles in a developed society as well as its effects in the modern workplace. Due to the rise of globalization and the never-ending efforts of the citizens to promote equality, traditional gender roles have been less strict as compared before. Nonetheless, the author believes that the changes in traditional gender roles have also led to significant disruptions in the workplace.
One of the major changes that happened amongst traditional gender roles is a shift in the relative roles of the father and the mother. Before, the father is seen as the breadwinner, whereas the mother is viewed as the one who takes care of the kids and tend to the different household chores.
