This is supposed to ensure effective implementation of the project. The executive sponsor is not just expected to detract himself or herself from the project operations. The role of the sponsor is very important in the day-to-day running of the project. The project sponsor is responsible for among other roles in, designing the mission of the project, defining methodologies for decision-making process, vision of the project, and the expected outcome.
