In the true fashion and spirit of Café 144 this final project will be for you take all the working principles

of running a coffee counter/snack bar and turn them into your own food business. Read this over

carefully to make sure you do not miss anything. As always if you have any questions please ask.

#1 Choose from the following and in your opening statement explain what you have chosen and why.

Your choices are: Upscale Restaurant, Family Style pub, Bar and Grill, Coffee Shop, Ice cream shop, fast

food, specialty shop, diner, or food truck

#2 Choose your location: Will you be in a major city, a neighborhood, a country farmers table, attached

to every gas station, in a beach community, or in a mall.

#3 What type of food will you be serving… Create a full menu that will showcase what you will be selling.

Think of a real restaurant menu and do a brief description of each item you will sell. There must be a

minimum of 10 different foods. There can certainly be more. Remember to describe your foods so they

will appeal to a hungry consumer. Example: Chicken Parm 3oz chicken breaded chicken breast fried to a

golden perfection cover in a sweet tomato and basil sauce topped with fresh mozzarella cheese. Served

with your choice of ziti, penne, spaghetti, backed potato or French fries

#4 Design your menu cover : You may do this on your computer or you can draw it and send me a clear

photo….Your inside cover must include a few lines about the history of the business, when it was

established, who the owner is, and finally the “Mission Statement” of your restaurant.

#5 Name your business: Make sure the name reflects the image you are trying to portray, and one that

can be easily remembered. …Design your sign your sign. You may do this on your computer or draw it

and send me a clear picture.

#6. Finally, create a grand opening flyer. This can be created on the computer, or you can draw it and

send a clear photo.
