Describe the type of radiation that is emitted by radon gas and how it poses a health risk. 2. The setting up of a club that is insensitive to the neighbours causes adverse effects on the health of people living around. Lisa et al (2007) recognizes that noise is a very common and severe cause of health disorders to people especially since as population continues growing, there is increased urbanization leading to more use of potential sources of noise like the loud music instruments. The most common type of health impairment that the community suffers from as a result of loud music is Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL). When one listens to loud music for fifteen minutes they develop a “tinnitus” condition, which means a ringing sound in the ears. This however stops after some few minutes. However, tinnitus can be permanent if one is exposed to the loud music for long. Hearing loss could result to more social problems like impairment in school, work and speech. Noise leads to cardiovascular disease as a result of interference with the nervous system. Noise increases psychological activities like heart beating rate and also the level of blood pressure. Individuals who are exposed to noise suffer high levels of blood pressure due to increased annoyance. Lisa et al (2007) explains that loud or amplified music also causes stress. It becomes a nuisance and the individual is not able to concentrate in their work or interferes with their sleep. One develops stress since they cannot be in control of the situation. Those working will be affected in that their productivity reduces. Stress can lead to diseases conditions like depression. Kharkiv Nightlife recognizes that nightclubs are a major source of annoyance due to noise that they emit hence recommends that they should be isolated from residential areas to reduce disturbance to the community. Isolation would mean that they install ceiling, doors and windows that would ensure that sound transmission to the outside is reduced. They should also purchase products that reduce reverberations that are to be installed inside the club.
