The intent of this business letter is to provide solutions to the challenges facing the Jack’s Joe Joint company. The mission statement of the Jack’s Joe Joint company is to offer customers with the best cup of coffee products in an ecologically friendly fashion. Balanced scorecard system has been used to identify daily operations of the company concerning the four factors of performance measures including customer perspective, internal perspective, growth and learning perspective, and financial perspective. Based on the evaluation of the balanced scorecard system; there is need for the organization to create a plan which promotes high-quality service delivery and adopts high-quality performance measures.
In customer perspective, the balanced scorecard has been used to identify how customers see the organization. The quality of beans being manufactured is substandard. There are many customer complaints because of poor quality of manufactured coffee beans. The roasting of beans is being changed every six month which has led to inconsistent quality of manufactured beans. This has led to customers’ frustration. Employees are hired to facilitate the process of roasting, aging and brewing beans, but there is inconsistent quality of product output. In internal business processes, we evaluated what the company excelled at, and it is identified that the organization performed poorly from the internal perspective. There is high output of manufacturing of beans since the organization has different stores and several employees, but sales output of coffee is quite low.
