Today, I stand before you with a heavy heart. We often say that death is inevitable, but the time of death is uncertain and unavoidable. January 20, 1993, remains forever embedded in the memory of some of you. The sad news that Audrey Hepburn had passed on devastated many. How possible could such a beautiful soul be no more? Why should such a wonderful human being be snatched away? Many took time to accept the news.

It is now 26 years since Audrey passed on. She was indeed a legend, a legend because of her remarkable achievements. Despite all her accomplishments, she was humble and full of love. I admired her dedication to her craft. She gave her best in movies. Roman Holiday (1953) remains one of my favorite romantic comedy. No wonder she managed to get multiple awards including an Oscar. Any film that she was featured is worth watching. To me, she is a definition of what it means to be an icon.
