Section I
Question 1:
As we strive in our understanding of aging, as well as the causes and natural history of the disease experienced during this moment longitudinal study, remains so critical. For instance, in this situation, we'll look at a psychiatry professor at Harvard whose work examines both these strengths and flaws. Vaillant was in an excellent position to write on how the past matters. He was a director of a medical facility at the time of the study, which began in 1966. In his book Triumphs of Experience, he looked at how various people fared with childhood experiences in late adulthood and throughout their lives (Vaillant, 2012).
He was able to study the impact of cold or warm childhood relationships on two different people, Judge Oliver Wendell Holmes and Sam Lovelace. The novel depicted Judge Oliver Wendell Holmes as a happy, affectionate child surrounded by love from his parents. On the other hand, Sam Lovelace is portrayed as a brilliant student who experienced a loveless childhood. His mother was gloomy and married to an anxious husband, so the boy was never in the best of circumstances (Vaillant, 2012).
This history is viewed as having implications for their adulthood. For example, Oliver's development lifestyle allows him to be a self-assured and capable adult. In contrast, Lovelace struggles to establish friends, which Vaillant describes as "a sort of shyness" (Vaillant, 2012).   As a result, we can conclude that the more loveless a person was exposed to as a youngster, the greater the likelihood of being depressed than someone who was treasured. This lifestyle view depicts the importance of childhood care in a person's life since having good childhood support helps build resilience (Bazeloni, 2006).
