The first step I can take to address water usage in my life it to develop measures that can eliminate wastage or significantly reduce the amount of water that is wasted. One way of achieving this objective is to regulate the amount of water that is spent in the bathroom. For instance, using a basin instead of the shower head and reducing the amount of time that is spent in the shower can significantly reduce the amount of water he wasted.
Every individual has a responsibility of fighting climate change since everyone will be spared when water reservoirs become dry. Studies have already shown that there are increased risks of armed conflict when people lack access to water as a result of drought. For instance, Cape Town which is a city of more than 200,000 people is unable to adequately cater for the water needs of its residents. This is due to the fact that most people and organizations have failed to place emphasis on management of climate change which usually results to poor harnessing of water.
