Lack of Follow-through
In an office environment, once information is dispersed, specific actions occur based on the communications. One communication problem that occurs in the workplace is a lack of follow-through. For instance, after a meeting scheduled to discuss the course of a project, the attendees certainly need to execute tasks based on what has been discussed at the meeting. If the communication does not leave the workforce with a great understanding of how to follow through with actions, the organization is likely to see a breakdown and unfinished work. If individuals do not follow-through on tasks, action plans and decisions after the meeting, then one needs to question the value of holding the meeting in the first place.
