The following analysis will focus on Gatsby as a character from the novel and the analysis will be based on color green. The color imagery in the novel plays a big role in helping the readers to develop a good understanding of the characters. Gatsby is a major character in the novel, and the usage of the color green helps readers understand him deeply. A critical analysis of the novel shows that green is used as imagery for the pursuit of love and dreams. Gatsby’s love for Daisy is not hidden at all in the novel. The readers are able to see and feel clearly that Gatsby loves Daisy.
