Social justice – this is simply a measure of fairness when it comes to the distribution of opportunities and wealth in society.
Human rights – these are inalienable rights that every person has by virtue of being part of the human race.
Community development – this represents a situation where members of a community come together to collectively find solutions to problems in the community.
Social development – this simply means the idea of having a society grow while abiding by the principles of cohesion and inclusivity.

Social justice is quite a significant concept in social work practice. Social work mainly concerns itself with the community and its overall wellbeing. In exercising my duty, I have to be wary of my inclinations and biases, and how these could affect my work as I seek to cater to the needs of the community. I have to exercise fairness while doing my job, and this term will indeed play a role in my career.
When it comes to human rights, one could say that it is obvious how it ought to apply in my career. The concept of human rights introduces the idea of people having an intrinsic value that comes with them belonging to the human race. Understanding this concept will simply help me do my job with an understanding that I have to look at the human side of everyone. This concept also brings about the idea of fairness because it seeks to promote the notion that all men are equal, and the equalizing factor is our intrinsic value as human beings. So, in doing my job, this concept will help me to understand that everyone deserves to be treated with compassion and empathy.
