Child abuse refers to the occurrence of death, injury or harm to a child, through an action or failure to act by a parent, guardian or a person in a custodial role, as a pastor. The vice is often as a result of negligence on the part of the caregiver. The basic types of child abuse include Physical Abuse, Sexual abuse, emotional abuse and neglect. Child abuse is a form of moral decadence in a society and is also against the law. I, therefore, take an ardent stand against child abuse due to its negative effects.
Each form of child abuse has negative side effects on the victim. Sexual abuse, for instance, leads to promiscuity, sexual dissatisfaction and possibly homosexuality. This becomes a form of moral decadence in that it leads to prostitution, which is immoral. Depression and suicidal ideation lead to a high mortality rate of the young generation, which reduces the manpower in a country and results in a low economic outcome in a state.
