For this Module, please complete the following tasks. This paper will be added to the end of your submission for Module Four.
Discuss the rights and expectations that a patient has when interacting with an organization or person providing some level of healthcare services.
Were those rights and expectations violated in this case? If so, how?
What role did the pharmacist have as a patient advocate? Did he uphold that obligation?
Using information from the Internet and other sources, evaluate the legal conclusion of this case.
What were the deciding factors?

Health care workers need to familiarize themselves with the rights and privileges of patients. The reason for this is to offer better attention and care to patients, avoid lawsuits that would come as a result of contravening patient rights, avoid humiliation and loss of practicing license.
Rights and expectations of a patient
Patients have rights and privileges that they must enjoy and in return expect to receive them from their healthcare providers CITATION [Geo12]Geo12. The most common ones being; every patient should be entitled to a copy of their medical records. This record should be retained by the patient or their kin, informed consensus or agreement. In this right the healthcare provider should give the patient all the information necessary to assist the patient to make an informed decision. Their decision should also be respected by the provider and posses high confidentiality rates of personal and medical information of patients. Patients must be given detailed information about the drugs they are taking, their usage, dosage and any associated side effects. Equally, patients should receive timely and considerate treatment and have the right to refuse any treatment, surgery or any additional investigations. However, the responsibility of their actions should lie entirely on them.
